At 11:00 am on November 15th, the last girder of Zhangjiakou-Hohhot High-speed Railway was put in place, marking the total completion of bridge construction work of Zhangjiakou-Hohhot High-speed Railway, the first high-speed railway in Inner Mongolia. All works under track have hence been completed.
With a total length of 286.8 kilometers, the Zhangjiakou-Hohhot High-speed Railway starts from Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province in the east and ends at Hohhot, Inner Mongolia in the west. The project has been on schedule thanks to new techniques and new equipment applied. This new railway will slash the travelling time between Hohhot and Beijing from 6.5 hours to less than 3 hours.
