The new train operating diagram will be enforced for all railways in China on April 10th, 2018. The adjustment to the operating diagram will lead to an increase in both the number of Fuxing EMU trains in operation and the capacity of freight transport.
8 more pairs of 350km/h Fuxing EMU trains will be put into operation. 6 more pairs of EMU trains will begin to serve Shijiazhuang-Jinan and Qingdao-Jinan passenger dedicated lines. 2 more pairs of EMU trains will begin to serve Xi’an-Chengdu passenger dedicated line. More freight express trains and bulk commodity through trains will be put into operation, including 4 more CHINA RAILWAY Express trains which will better serve the international logistics in the development of the Belt and Road, as well as 84 more bulk commodity through trains which will be essential to the national economy and the people’s livelihood. Furthermore, the potential of coal transport capacity will be exploited for major freight corridors such as Datong-Qinhuangdao line，Tangshan-Hohhot line, Watang-Rizhao line, etc. 220 more pairs of freight trains will be put into operation including 60 freight trains of 10000-ton’s capacity. The division of labor among hubs will also be optimized. An efficient and swift transport organization will be realized and the whole year’s freight transport volume is estimated to increase by 200 million tons.
